Today, I am wearing purple eyeshadow. I usually wear blue, but I will only wear purple from here on out, purple eyeshadow is the eyeshadow with meaning!! Purple is the color for C.ancer awarness. I was just on the Ronan Thompsan Foundation website. He was a three year old boy who passed away from Neuroblastoma. From this website, I found some Neuroblastoma facts, it is always good to be informed.
Neuroblastoma is common and difficult to treat.
It is the most common cancer in infancy.
About 600 children are diagnosed each year.
It is the most common tumor found in children younger then a year old.
Neuroblastoma develops in nerve cells, it commonly arises into around the adrenal glands, they are similar to nerve glands and sit on top of the kidneys. But they can also develop in other nerve cells around the body. It begins in neuroblasts which are nerve cells that are immature that a baby makes in its development process.
When the fetus matures, these neuroblasts form into fibers and nerve cells. In Most cases, they mature or dissapear, in this case, they form a tumor, which is neuroblastoma.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the information about neuroblastoma; I wasn't quite familiar with it.
Thank you! No problem, I had never heard of it prior to Wyatt's diagnosis.
